Patriots Kick Off Season With Two Nailbiters

Mulvane Falls Short In First Two Games in the 2019 season.

The Mulvane Patriots kicked off the 2019 season on Thursday, May 30th with a non-league game versus the Wellington Heat and Friday in a league game versus the El Dorado Broncos. Both games came down to the final inning with the Patriots falling short in both game 6-7.

Mulvane fell behind early and could not come back in a 6-7 loss to Wellington on Thursday. 

Wellington captured the lead in the 1st inning. The Pats's biggest inning was the fifth inning where they scored 4 runs in the frame. 

Rodd earned the loss for the Mulvane Patriots. He tossed one and 1/3 innings, giving up two runs, two hits, and walking two. 

Mulvane had 8 hits in the game. Noah Argenta, Colby Standard, Chase Bryan, Josh Cameron, Parker Base, and Jack Maki each had hits in the game for the Pats. Noah Argenta and Chase Bryan both had 2 hits to lead the Mulvane Patriots. 

Mulvane grabbed 3 RBIs in the game. Noah Argenta, Colby Standard, and Jack Maki each had RBIs for the Pats.

The Pats stole 4 bases during the game with Noah Argenta , Colby Standard , and Parker Base all grabbing stolen bases.

Mulvane fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-7 loss to El Dorado on Friday. 

El Dorado captured the lead in the 1st inning. The Patriots's biggest inning was the seventh inning where they scored 4 runs in the inning. 

Boaz earned the loss for Mulvane. He tossed five innings, giving up four runs, nine hits, and walking zero. 

Mulvane collected 5 hits in the game. Kemper Bednard, Chase Bryan, Kyle Koch, Colby Standard, and Parker Base each collected hits in the game for the Pats. Kemper Bednard, Chase Bryan, Kyle Koch, Colby Standard, and Parker Base all had 1 hits to lead the Pats. Chase Bryan had 1 home run in the game. 

Mulvane collected 4 RBIs in the game. Chase Bryan, Colby Standard, and Caleb Stull each collected RBIs for the Pats. Colby Standard knocked in 2 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs. 

The Patriots stole 2 bases during the game with Kemper Bednard and Jackson Wilcox both recording stolen bases.
